Two shot while riding electric scooters, Milwaukee police say

Two people were hospitalized Wednesday after being shot while riding electric

Two people were hospitalized Wednesday after being shot while riding electric scooters on the city's north side, Milwaukee police say.

The victims, an 18-year-old Milwaukee man and an 11-year-old boy, are expected to survive, police said.

According to police, the incident took place around 2:15 p.m. on the 2300 block of West Burleigh Street. Police do not have anyone in custody.

Roughly a half-hour prior, occupants in two vehicles began shooting at each other on the 2700 block of West Fond du Lac Avenue and a 52-year-old Milwaukee man, who was not involved in the shooting, was struck. He is currently in "stable" but "serious" condition, police said. Police do not have anyone in custody.
